Lockhart Lions Golf participated in the Cedar Creek High School JV Invitational Tournament on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, and both a boys team and a girls team placed second in the event.

The boys posted a team score of 390 led by freshman Nicholas Munoz who shot a 87 to take second place overall among the boys. Others on the runner-up team were Jayse Contreras (92), Derek Morgan (99), Thomas Shelton (112), and Koen Cox (116).

The girls were tied for first place, posting a team score of 434, and anchored by junior Zoie Ledesma’s 92. Ledesma’s performance was enough to put her in first place overall in the girls’ division. Marisol Capetillo (sophomore) placed third overall for the girls, carding a 105 for the day. Soleil Ledesma (117) and Priya Patel (120) were also on the team that took second in the girls’ team division on a scorecard playoff. The team fell to a solid Round Rock team by one stroke.

Also participating in the tournament as medalists were Zerek Carmona (102), Sam Massaro(115), and Ien Ledesma (120).

Zoie Ledesma’s performance was her second top-five finish of the year and the runner-up spot is the second time this year a girls’ team has brought home hardware from course action. Zoie placed fifth overall at the Victoria East Fall Classic in September, and the girls finished third in the girls’ team division of that event. This is the first event of the year a boys team has finished near the top of the leaderboard.
