Kinder Morgan donates $63,000 to Lockhart ISD

Lockhart ISD received a significant boost Tuesday afternoon when Kinder Morgan Vice President of Public Affairs Allen Fore visited the district’s newest campus, Borchert Loop Elementary, to present a $63,000 donation in support of local students and schools.
During his visit, Fore toured the newly opened elementary campus and even joined students and staff for a lighthearted moment, taking a ride down the school’s indoor slide before the formal check presentation. The joyful moment underscored the spirit of partnership between the district and Kinder Morgan.
This most recent contribution adds to a generous history of support. Over the past five years, Kinder Morgan has donated $716,134 to Lockhart ISD initiatives, strengthening areas such as:
•Fine Arts programs
•School safety efforts
•Extracurricular activities
•Student enrichment opportunities
District officials say the ongoing support has played a vital role in expanding what is possible for Lockhart students.
Superintendent Mark Estrada also highlighted the depth and importance of the partnership: “We are deeply grateful for the generous support and continued partnership of Kinder Morgan. Over the years, they have made significant investments in Lockhart ISD, and this latest donation is another meaningful example of their commitment to our students and community.”
Lockhart ISD extended additional thanks to Caldwell County Judge Haden and the Commissioners Court for helping foster and support the district’s partnership with Kinder Morgan.
As Borchert Loop Elementary welcomed its special guest and celebrated the new donation, district leaders reaffirmed their commitment to providing exceptional opportunities for every student. With continued community and corporate support, Lockhart ISD says it is well-positioned to build on its Legacy of Excellence.
