Lockhart defends home turf

     Lockhart made the most of home-field advantage Friday night, rebounding from a road   loss with a hard-fought 1–0 victory over the Lehman Lobos.

   The match was decided by a single moment, as Jesus Garcia found the back of the net to provide the game-winning goal for the Lions. Lockhart’s defense did the rest, holding firm to preserve the shutout and secure the win.

   With the victory, Lockhart improved its record to 5-2-1 on the season.  District play continues to heat up next week, as Lockhart prepares for a familiar challenge. The Lions are scheduled to host Glenn in a district matchup at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday.
