Vernis Davis

Vernis V. Davis, 90, of Red Rock, Texas passed away on Monday, Feb. 14, 2011, in Lockhart, Texas. Mrs. Davis was born on Oct. 23, 1920, to Howard P. and Gladys (Hendrix) Voigt.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joe G. Davis, Sr.; one son, Joe G. “Joey” Davis, Jr.; one sister, Venver Briscoe; and one brother, Roy C. “Bo” Voigt.

ed by her daughter, Glenna Wallace and husband, Jimmy Clyde; five grandchildren, great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and newphews.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2011, at McCurdy Funeral Home. Services were Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2011, at McCurdy Funeral Home. Interment followed at Thompsonville Cemetery.
