Jean Allen Kirkpatrick
Jean Allen Kirkpatrick was born in Caldwell County, Texas, on June 16, 1935, to Rodney Allen Gray and Helen Constance Herron-Jerls. Jean passed from this life on Jan. 28, 2012, in Marble Falls, Texas, at the age of 76, and was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Lonnie Joe Gray.
After 26 years of dedicated service, Jean retired from AT&T, but her most memo
rable occupation was showering her grandchildren and great-grandchildren with “sugar.”
Jean is survived by her husband of more than 30 years, James “Jimmy” Kirkpatrick; their six children: Jacquelyn Hall and husband, William, Jamie Allen and husband, Stan, Allen Buckner, Alan Kirkpatrick, Scott Kirkpatrick, and Karen Kirkpatrick; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Jean is also survived by her brother, Rodney Paul “Bubba” Gray and wife, Nora, and brother-in-law, Thomas Kirkpatrick and wife, Laverne, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and beloved friends.
Jean was the heart and soul of her family and was known for her ability to bring everyone together, teaching them the importance of family and the enduring power of love. She will be missed, but never forgotten.
Services were scheduled at McNeil Cemetery in Caldwell County at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 2, 2012.
