Nicolasa A. Martinez

Mrs. Nicolasa A. Martinez, 86, entered into Eternal Rest, surrounded by her loving family, on March 21, 2012. She was born in Luling, Texas, on Sept. 10, 1925, to Jose and Braulia Aguilera.

Nicolasa is preceded in death by her husband, Santos P. Martinez; her parents; two sons; two daughters; four sisters; two brothers; one granddaughter; one great-granddaughter; and five so

ns-in-law.

Left to cherish her memories are son, Carmelo Martinez and wife, Sally; daughters: Sara Alvarez, Maria Rodriguez and companion, Mario, Alice Morales and husband, Javier, Eva Tinajero, and husband, Julio, and Brenda Munoz and husband, Juan; 21 grandchildren; 63 great-grandchildren; and 45 great-great-grandchildren; one sister Lupe Aguilera; and numerous nieces and nephews and extended family.

Serving as pallbearers were Ben Savedra, John Munoz, Carlos Martinez, Chris Gonzales, Michael Alvarez, Roger Lerma, Christopher Gonzales, and Scott Gregory.

Visitation with family and friends was held on Sunday, March 25, 2012, and Monday, March 26, 2012, at 5 p.m. Recitation of the Holy Rosary took place on Monday, March 26, 2012, at 8 p.m. at DeLeon”s Funeral Home in Lockhart, Texas. Services were held on Tuesday, March 27, 2012, at St. Mary”s Catholic Church at 2 p.m. in Lockhart, Texas. Interment followed at San Pablo Cemetery, Lockhart, Texas.
