Phyllis “GG” Wright

Phyllis Marjorie “GG” Wright of Kyle, passed away on May 9, 2012, at the age of 82. She was born on Oct. 6, 1929, in North Branch, Minn., to Clifford K. and Gracie Marie (Wilke) Johnson.

Phyllis was a caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved gardening, loved birds and wildlife feeding. She also devoted her time on crafts, sewing dance costumes for her

daughters and shirts for her sons.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Connie Ann Wright; and one sister, Norma Troxell.

She is survived by three sons: Delon K. Wright, Jr., and wife, Pattie Freeman, of Winston-Salem, N.C., Wayne Wright, of Kyle, and Gene Wright, of Glendale Heights, Ill.; one brother, Richard Johnson, of Greely, Colo.; one sister, Clara Weber, of Greely, Colo.; four grandchildren: Jason, Joe and wife, Leslie, Travis and wife, Rachael, and Amanda; and four great-grandchildren: Lily, Trent, Bailey and Jake.

Family received friends at McCurdy Funeral Home, from 9 a.m. – noon on Saturday, May 12, 2012. Graveside services followed at 1 p.m. at Mineral Springs Cemetery in Mineral Springs, Texas, with the Rev. Kyle Bishop officiating.
