Anthony (Bert) Trejo, 56, beloved Husband and Brother, was called to his eternal resting place on January 12, 2025. He entered this world on January 1, 1969, in Lockhart, TX, born to the late Antonio and Eva Trejo. He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Jeanna Trejo, and his sister, Abby Trejo.

A man of great passion, Bert shared his love of music with the parishioners of St. Mary’s of the Visitation Catholic Church, where his talent and devotion uplifted the congregation for many years. His music was a gift to those who knew him, and it will continue to inspire and comfort those who carry his memory.

There was never a day that the community did not see Bert driving up and down the highway with his beloved dog, Buddy, hanging out the window of his truck. Whether on his way to church, a friend’s house, or just running errands, Bert and Buddy became a beloved sight in Lockhart, a symbol of Bert’s warm spirit and love for life.

Bert’s kindness, generosity, and infectious sense of humor touched the hearts of all who knew him. He was a devoted husband and a steadfast friend, and his family and community will deeply miss his presence.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at DeLeon Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. We will then gather at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, located at 205 W. Pecan St., Lockhart, Texas, at 7:15 p.m., with the Recitation of the Rosary beginning at 7:30 p.m.

A Celebration of Life Mass will be held on Friday, January 17, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary of the Visitation Catholic Church, followed by interment at St. Mary of the Visitation Catholic Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Kidney Foundation.
