Antonio A. Yanez
Mr. Antonio A. Yanez, of Maxwell, Texas, passed away Monday, Sept. 28, 2009. He was born on Jan. 17, 1934.
Mr. Yanez was preceded in death by his parents, Lucas and Crescencia Yanez; sisters, Josefa, Placida and Gregoria; and brother, Domingo.
He is survived by his wife, Lydia Yanez; six children: Lupe Yanez (Irene), Irene Gomez (Jesse), Rita Salazar (John), Alv
ino Yanez (Lisa), Esteven Yanez (Dora) and Catherine Sandoval (Arthur); 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather to his family and a friend to all. Mr. Yanez was a lifelong member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Martindale, Texas.
Mr. Yanez was a migrant worker, who later retired from the 790 Local Labor Union after 20 years of service.
Recitation of the rosary was scheduled to be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2009, at DeLeon Funeral Home. Funeral mass was planned at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 1, 2009, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lockhart, with burial following in Memory Lawn Memorial Park.
