Alison Friedrich Berry, 31, our beloved friend, daughter, sister and wife, was unexpectedly called to Heaven by her Lord early on Oct. 1, 2009. She was fun-loving, outgoing and loved to travel. She enjoyed playing with her dogs and spending time with friends and family. Alison will be remembered for her beautiful smile, radiant personality and great sense of humor.
illed with hope and love, she was ready to take on the world. She generously gave of herself to others and changed the lives of all that knew her. We will forever remember and cherish our time together.
Alison attended and graduated from: Corpus Christi Carroll High School – Class of 1996; The University of Texas at Austin, B.S. Communication Sciences and Disorders – Class of 2000; San Diego State University, Masters of Audiology – 2002; and Doctorate of Audiology, AuD from Pennsylvania College of Optometry – 2009.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Benno Friedrich, Josephine Bunnell and Carlysle Schnelle.
Mrs. Berry is survived by her husband Chris Berry of San Antonio; parents, Byron and Jodie Friedrich, of Lockhart; brother, Byron T. Friedrich, of Lockhart; sister, Joni Friedrich, of Lockhart; grandfather, Thomas Bunnell, of Lockhart; grandmother, Lorraine Schnelle, of Austin; father-in-law Don Berry, of San Antonio; mother-in-law, Janene Berry, of San Diego, Calif.; and sister-in-law, Jennifer Ivory and husband, Daniel, of Springfield, Mo.
Family accepted friends from 6 – 8 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 4, 2009, at McCurdy Funeral Home. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 5, 2009, at First United Methodist Church, 313 W. San Antonio, Lockhart, Texas, with Pastor Bob Hahn and Rev. Ryan Barnett officiating. Private interment will be at a later date.
Pallbearers are Matt Ruggiero, Dave Watts, Hunter Thompson, Nick Friedrich, Chris Friedrich and Elias Berlinger.
