Armando Hernandez, Sr.

Armando Hernandez, Sr., of Los Angeles, died on Jan. 16, 2009 at the age of 53. He was born in Austin, Texas, on April 18, 1956.

He is survived by his mother, Manuela Villalpando Ybarra, of San Antonio; daughter, Samaia Hernandez, of New Haven, Conn.; former wife, Debra Hernandez, of Los Angeles; brothers: Agapito Hernandez (Del) and Joe Arredondo (Janie), of Austin,

Ricky Arredondo and Alberto Rangel (Lupe), of Lockhart, Modesto Rangel, of Washington, D.C., and Dominic Villalpando (Kate), of Yoakum, Texas; and sisters: Mary Perez, of San Antonio, and Mary Christina McClaskey, of Buford, S.C.

A rosary was held Thursday, Jan. 29, 2009 at 7:30 p.m. at St. Mary’s Church Hall. A memorial mass was held on Friday, Jan. 30, 2009, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

His remains were entrusted to Steward-Pearce Mortuary, Inc., 1701 E. South St., Long Beach, Calif., 90805. (562) 423-3094.
