A private interment will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery on Saturday, November 30th at 10am.

Arthur was born on July 20, 1960, to Alfredo Bosque, Sr. and Oralia Lopez Bosque in Lockhart, Texas.

Arthur loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed cooking for get-togethers, singing, dancing, polka music, playing dominoes and being active in the community.

Arthur moved to Fayette County in 1978 and worked as a butcher. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, served as an usher, was President of the Holy Name Society, board member of the Knights of Columbus Council #2574, served multiple terms on the city council, retired from the volunteer fire department after 31 years of service, dedicated 20 years as an umpire for Tri County Softball – Texas Association of Sports Officials. He enjoyed attending and performing at the Fayette County Opry and being Santa during the holiday season. 

Arthur is survived by his children, Curt Harbers and wife Casey, Ryan Harbers and wife Monica, Matthew Bosque, Jamie Fabre, April Johnson and husband Ty, Jessica Bosque and Lesley Islas; brother, David Bosque and wife Frances; sister, Maria Lara and husband Joe; and brother-in-law, Paul O’Balle. Grandchildren: Celeine, Chandler, Camille, Clayton, Colton, Catelyn and Cade; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Alfredo and Oralia Bosque; brothers, Raymond Bosque, Alfredo Bosque, Jr., and Oscar Bosque and sister Lupe O’Balle.

The family requests that memorial donations be made to Arthur Bosque Memorial Fund at National Bank & Trust La Grange, the Sacred Heart Catholic School, Knights of Columbus Council #2574 “Scholarship Fund” or the La Grange Volunteer Fire Department.
