Cardinals hand Lions final loss of season

The Del Valle Cardinals handed the Varsity Lions their last loss of the season with a 9-4 win at Lion Field on Friday, April 25.
The Lions were in the lead for the first three innings, scoring two runs in the first and two in the third while allowing only two runs from the Cardinals who scored one run in the first and another

in the second.
Everything was fine until the Cardinals went crazy with the bats and scored five runs at the top of the fourth for a 7-4 lead and ending the game with two additional runs at the top of the fifth.
Again, too many errors at crucial points in the game were key.
The struggling Lions ended their season with a 4-8 district record and a 10-16 overall.
