Carlyn Marie Grimes, 82, of Waco, Texas formerly of Maxwell, Texas passed away on Oct. 4, 2007 in Waco, Texas. She was born Sept. 2, 1925 to Willie C. and Leona (Schmidt) Schulle.
Carlyn was an avid gardener and enjoyed maintaining her gardens. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and crafting. She truly received her greatest joy from her children, grandchildren and great-gran

dchildren. There was never a moment that she did not take the chance to brag on each and everyone”s accomplishments. She never missed a birthday or special event. She kept in contact always by phone or by sending cards and when possible by making a homemade cake that was hand delivered with love. Carlyn, to the best of her ability, was always present at all her grandchildren”s special occasions. At times of her families” needs she was present and willing to do what was needed always with love and without hesitation. She will be greatly missed by all.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband Stanley Tatsch; her second husband, Douglas Grimes; son, David Grimes; daughter, Glenda Brown; sister, Margaret Schneider; and her bother in-law, William Bohn.
She is survived by her children, Douglas Wayne Tatsch, Karen Sue Brannan and her husband Bobby, and Debbie Lynne Buice and her husband Donald; ten grandchildren, Lisa Brannan, Brian Brannan, Shawn Brannan and wife, Kim, Travis Tatsch and wife, Meredith, Lance Tatsch and wife, Natalie, Chris Tatsch, Matthew Buice and wife, Brandi, Tabitha Schuerg and husband, Justin, Robert Brown and Kristen Brown; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Bohn; brother, Clarence Schulle and wife, Emma Jean; and many nieces; nephews and cousins.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Oct. 6, 2007, at Ebenezer Lutheran Church in Maxwell, Texas, with the Reverend John Schwartz officiating. Interment followed at Memory Lawn Memorial Park, Martindale, Texas.
Serving as pallbearers were Brian Brannan, Shawn Brannan, Matthew Buice, Chris Tatsch, Travis Tatsch, Robert Brown, William Schulle and David Schulle. Honorary pallbearers were Lance Tatsch, Justin Schuerg, Darrel Schulle and John Longmire. Arrangements under the care and guidance of McCurdy Funeral Home, 105 E.
