Our beloved daughter, Caroline Grace, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 17, 2011.

Though her life on this earth was brief, she touched many lives, reminding them of God’s amazing provisions and grace. We are thankful that she is no longer suffering, and have confidence that she is dancing in Heaven with her great-grandparents and other loved ones who have gone

before her.

Caroline is survived by her loving parents, Jason and Courtney Ruple, and by her big brother Bryson DeFla Ruple. Other survivors include grandparents Fla and Nadine Strawn, of New Braunfels, and Bill and Janice Ruple, of Pleasanton; and great-grandparents, Janelle Ruple and Nelta Strawn.

Caroline was blessed with many loving aunts and uncles including: Bruce and Julie Hudson, Will and Jessica Ruple, Matt and Shannon Strawn, and Zach and Amy Lambert. Her cousins include William, Sheldon and Phillip Hudson and Laynie Ruple.

Caroline was preceded in death by the late William Ruple, DeFla “Spike” Strawn and Billy and Maurine Shirley.

Following a graveside service for the family, a memorial service celebrating Caroline’s life was held at the First Baptist Church in Bryan, Texas, on Tuesday, Dec. 20 at 6:30 p.m.

The family would like to extend their most heartfelt thanks to the amazing surgeons, doctors, and nurses who participated in Caroline’s care. We would also like to say thank you to the wonderful friends and family members who have held our hands, cried alongside us, and walked this journey with us. We will be forever grateful for the love and support we have received.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in Caroline’s memory to the Spina Bifida Association, Texas Children’s Hospital or the Ronald McDonald House Charities.
