George Louis Cardenas

George Louis Cardenas, of Lockhart, passed away on Nov. 5, 2013, at the age of 51. He was born on Feb. 20, 1962 in Lockhart, Texas, to Maurilio and Gregoria (Mojica) Cardenas.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Mary Alice Isais, Mary Theresa Cardenas Hunter and Juanita Cardenas Mojica; and one brother, Alfonso Cardenas.

He is survived by his son, Zach

ary Allen Cardenas; his daughter, Chelsea Ann Cardenas; six brothers: Maurilio Cardenas, Jr., Gus Cardenas and wife, Pam, Valentine Cardenas and wife, Janie, Albert Cardenas and wife, Ocita, Thomas Cardenas and Andy Cardenas and wife, Dora; and one sister, Olivia Gonzales.

Family received friends at McCurdy Funeral Home, from 5 – 8 p.m., with  Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 8, 2013. Mass of a Christian Burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lockhart. Interment followed at Navarro Cemetery, Lockhart.
