Charline J. Shuptrine

Charline J. Shuptrine, 73, of Lockhart, passed away Thursday, Feb. 16, 2006. She was born on Oct. 26, 1932 in San Antonio, Texas to Charles H. Campbell and Thelma Caldwell Campbell.
Mrs. Shuptrine was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Patricia Wills.
She is survived by her husband, Billie L. Shuptrine of Lockhart; daughter, Catherine J. Thomas of Lockh

art; sons, Charles R. Shuptrine and wife Sherry of Austin and Robert E. Shuptrine and wife Rhonda of Castle Rock, Colo.; sister, Betty J. Sands and husband Alan of San Antonio and Karen Tate and husband Michael of Euless, Texas; seven grandchildren, Chris Lutz and wife Antoinette, Shawn Lutz, Ragan Shuptrine, PFC. Matthew Thomas and wife Christia, Stephanie Smith and husband Terry, Chad Bryan and Chuck Shuptrine; 11 great-grandchildren, Sterling Shuptrine, Noah Shuptrine, Lauren Lutz, Skylar Lutz, Jonathan Rodriguez, Anastacia Rodriguez, Natalie Thomas, Britney Smith, Kalie Smith, Talon Smith, Gage Sheets, Gavin Sheets and Robbie Mills. She was a member of St. Mary”s Catholic Church, St. Vincent De Paul Society, Altar Society, Meals on Wheels and the Extension Club.
Rosary was held at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 19 at McCurdy Funeral Home. Services were held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 20 at St. Mary”s Catholic Church. Interment will be held at 10:45 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 21 at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio with Father Robert Becker officiating.
Serving as pallbearers were Chad Bryan, Chuck Shuptrine, Terry Smith, Chris Lutz, Shawn Lutz, Ragan Shuptrine and Matthew Thomas
Honorary pallbearers were Ray Mendez, John McHugh, Gerald Roberts
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, St. Mary”s Catholic Church, St. Vincent De Paul Society or Hospice of Austin.
