CCRTA to Host Luncheon

The Caldwell County Retired Teachers Association will be hosting their Christmas Luncheon on December 10 at the Mineral Springs Baptist Church at 11:30 am.   The church is located at 1386 Mineral Springs Rd., Lockhart, TX.    Members are asked to bring a side dish or a salad and an UNWRAPPED Brown Santa gift for ages 1-15.  Ham and dessert will be supplied.  Contact Ann Thomas, CCRTA President, for more details. 

St. Mary’s Catholic Church Tamale Sale & Craft Show

St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 205 E. Pecan St., Lockhart, will hold its Annual Tamale Sale and Arts & Crafts Show on December 7 from 8AM–2PM.

Tamales are $14/dozen until Sold-Out. A Tamale Plate will be available starting at 10:30 AM for $10, and menudo will be sold for $9 per large cup. 

For those preparing holiday meals, uncooked tamales may be pre-ordered to cook at home for your family gatherings. To place a pre-order, please contact Maria Rangel at (512) 665-3946.

Santa Claus will visit the event from 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon. Candy bags will be provided to children who visit with Santa. Bring your Camera.

We invite the community to enjoy delicious food, visit with Santa, and browse a variety of arts, crafts, gifts, and Christmas décor.

Caldwell County Food Baskets

Food Baskets available at Caldwell County Food Bank: Caldwell County Food Bank has food baskets available at the food bank on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and on Tuesdays from 12 to 6 p.m. at 901 Bois D’Arc in Lockhart. There is a limit of two food baskets per month to households that qualify.
