District 1 PRIDE will host Lockhart's annual Martin Luther King, Jr. parade on Monday, January 20, 2020. The march will begin at 10 a.m. at the corner of M.L.K. Boulevard and Seawillow Road and will end at the Connection Center (200 S Blanco St, Lockhart, TX 78644) across from the Postal Office. A free luncheon and program will be provided with dessert and silent auction benefiting the District 1 PRIDE Senior Scholarship. Transportation to the starting point of the march will be provided by Goldstar buses for anyone who needs a returning ride to their vehicle.

Commerce St.) for Unity in the Community beginning at 1 p.m. There’s going to be food, contests and challenges with prizes! The Education Foundation for Lockhart ISD will host the showcase featuring student art and performances from across the school district! Art showcase begins at 6:30 and performance begins at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, February 25 in the Gerry Ohlendorf Performing Arts Center. Come enjoy this FREE event featuring performances by the combined Elementary Honors Choir, Lockhart High School Performing Arts, Lockhart Jr. High School Band, Lockhart High School Dance, Lockhart High School Band and Student artwork by elementary, middle and high school art students. This is a free event but donations to the Education Foundation are appreciated.
