16th Annual Speaking of the Dead “Night Ramblings in a Texas Graveyard”

The Caldwell County Historical Commission is hosting their 16th Annual Speaking of the Dead "Night Ramblings in a Texas Graveyard” where costumed actors portray spirits from Caldwell County cemeteries. These guided tours are both educational and entertaining and sell-out early. Actors portray spirits of the past, telling their stories in character. Tours will start at the main entrance of the Lockhart City Cemetery, Friday evening, October 25, beginning at 6:30 p.m. and Saturday, October 26. 20 people per tour with 9 tours each night from 6:30 to 9:10 p.m. Tickets for $15 must be purchased in advance. The Keep Lockhart Beautiful Cleanup is set for its 12th year in 2019. This is Lockhart's premier community service opportunity for families, students, organizations and businesses. All cleanup volunteers are encouraged to gather at the Lockhart City Park Main Pavilion by no later than 9 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 9 to confirm your project and litter drop-off locations, turn in safety sheets, and collect additional supplies. Ready, Set….Gobble! Join us for a 1-mile or 5K run/walk to celebrate fall in the park! Don your athletic gear, and come on down to Lockhart State Park! Our Turkey Trot will be a fun run/walk on the park golf course and park trails. There will be two distances to choose from: 1-mile or 5K (3.1 miles), which both start at 9:00am.
