Fireworks display set for city park

Lockhart and area residents will again be treated to a spectacular fireworks display to celebrate out nation’s birthday.
A Sunday Picnic has been scheduled for the Fourth of July.
There will be arts and craft booths, food vendors, a moon walk for the kids, games and free swimming at the city swimming pool from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.

out of Fentress will perform preceding the fireworks at dusk.
“Everyone should come out and join their friends and neighbors to celebrate our nation’s birthday. We have a fantastic event planned,” Wayne Bock, president of the Lockhart Chamber of Commerce said. “The fireworks display will be the largest display we have ever had. it should really be something to see.”
Organizers have said they have increased the number of fireworks by 50 percent this year.
The event is sponsored by the City of Lockhart, American National Bank, the Lockhart Chamber of Commerce and Bluebonnet Electric Coop.
