Frances Barkmeyer

Frances N. Barkmeyer, of Lockhart, Texas, passed away on Oct. 21, 2012, at the age of 82. She was born on Jan. 26, 1930, in Caldwell County, to Erb G. and Emma (Ziegenhals) Smith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward “Eddie” Barkmeyer, and brother, Wallace Smith.

She is survived by one son, Donnie Barkmeyer and wife, Janet, of Fentress; three daughters: Tr

isha McCrury and husband, Cliff, of Stephenville, Sharon McDonald and husband, Tim, of Kingsbury, and Kathy Mondin and husband, Shane, of Lockhart; eleven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren.

Family planned to receive friends at McCurdy Funeral Home, from 6 – 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012. Funeral service was scheduled at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012, at McCurdy Funeral Home, with the Rev. Rick Johnson officiating, with interment to follow at 1 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in LaVernia.
