Fred Hagan, 92, passed away on Nov. 12, 2016. He was born in Monroe, La., to Josie and Fred Hagan, Sr. At the age of 17, Fred joined the military and served during WWII and the Korean War. The first nine years he served with the Navy before joining the Air Force. He retired after 27 years earning the rank of Master Sargent. He married Vera Stephens on Aug. 25, 1951. From this u

nion four sons were born.

Fred went on to become a school teacher for Lockhart ISD teaching auto mechanics. He enjoyed fishing, vacationing and working on vehicles.

His wife, Vera Mae Stephens Hagan, brother, Joseph Leslie Hagan and his son, Danny Maylon Hagan have preceded him in death.

Fred is survived by three sons: Fred Milton Hagan with wife, Christina, Christopher Lynn Hagan and Earl Leslie Hagan with wife, Karen; six grandchildren: Michelle Boyle, Russell Hagan, Billy Hagan, Jennifer Hagan, Billy Ray Crider and Eddie Crider; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was scheduled on Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2016 from 9:30 a.m. until service time at 11a.m. at McCurdy Funeral Home, with Pastor Robert Horton officiating. Burial followed to Jeffrey Cemetery. Honored to serve as pallbearers were David Roberts, David A.L. Roberts, Edward Kruemmer, Mike Johnson, Steve Reed, Billy Hagan, and Honorary Pallbearer: Russell Hagan,
