Later that day, Ana competed in the discus. Her best throw came early for a distance of 81-05. This was a personal record for Ana and gave her the final rank of fourth in the U.S. for the 12-year-old girls.
On Saturday Gabrielle competed in the Javelin. Gabby’s last throw in the finals advanced her from seventh to fourth place in the competition. When the dust settled, Gabby earned the rank of No. 4 in the U.S. for 13-year-old girls.
The trip was a success with the Galván siblings returning home with four medals and all with top-eight rankings.
The family would like to thank the community, neighbors, and friends for their support throughout this exciting time. They are proud to have represented such a caring and supportive community.
