Golden Age Home Assisted Living, in partnership with Christus Hospice of Central Texas, has announced the launch of the Grief Support of Lockhart & Caldwell County group, a new community resource aimed at supporting residents experiencing various forms of grief. The group will hold its meetings at Golden Age Home Assisted Living starting this month.
The Grief Support of Lockhart & Caldwell County group is designed to provide a compassionate space for individuals coping with the loss of a loved one, pre-grieving due to a loved one’s critical health decline, or struggling to move past an older loss. This peer support group is open to all residents of Lockhart and the surrounding Caldwell County areas.
Meeting Details:
Date: Second Thursday of each month, starting May 9
Time: 2-3 p.m.
Location: Community Meeting Room, Golden Age Home Assisted Living, 1505 S. Main St., Lockhart
The sessions will be facilitated by Robin Bledsoe, a seasoned chaplain and bereavement coordinator with a Master’s in Divinity, who brings years of experience in providing spiritual care and grief counseling.
“We recognize the profound impact grief can have on an individual’s life, and we are committed to offering a supportive environment where people can share their experiences and find comfort,” said Christopher McNeil, Director of Community Relations at Golden Age Home Assisted Living. “We invite the community to join us as we embark on this journey of healing and understanding.”
