She was born on March 14, 1983, in the close-knit community of Lockhart, Texas. Heather’s vibrant spirit and boundless compassion left a lasting mark on everyone she met. To know Heather was to be enveloped in her genuine love and infectious enthusiasm for life. As a beloved wife to Jeffrey (Tony) Gutierrez, a cherished daughter to Gloria Perez, and a devoted sister to Liza Thaggard, Heather’s love for her family was the heartbeat of her existence. Her home was a haven of warmth, filled with the aromas of her delicious cooking and the laughter of those she welcomed with open arms. Heather had a rare gift for making everyone feel included, her kindness a beacon that drew people near. Her beloved grandpa, Eladio Juarez, played a profound role in shaping her into the wonderful person she was. With unwavering love and dedication, he took great care of Heather, always there for her and willing to do anything to see her smile, leaving a lasting legacy in her compassionate heart.
With dedication and perseverance, Heather earned her certifications as a Certified Nursing Assistant and Phlebotomist, pouring her heart into caring for others. Her passion for helping those in need was not just a profession but a calling, one she embraced with grace and commitment. Heather’s legacy is one of love, generosity, and an unyielding spirit that uplifted everyone around her. The family invites friends to join them in celebrating Heather’s beautiful life on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at DeLeon Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed by a heartfelt celebration of her life at 1:00 p.m. After the service, reception will follow. Heather’s light will continue to shine in the hearts of all who loved her.
