Hugh Stephen

Hugh Leston Stephen, 79, of Harwood, Texas passed away Jan. 17, 2007, at the Golden Age Home in Lockhart, Texas. Mr. Stephen was born Jan. 31, 1927 in Stephenville, Texas to Hugh and Stella Courtney Stephen, Sr. Mr. Stephen was in construction before retiring and had lived in the community for 25 plus years.

m Springs, Calif., Mary Lemond of Las Vegas, and Edith Simmons of 1000 Oaks, Calif., numerous family and friends. Mr. Stephen was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Stephen on May 1, 2006.
A visitation was held on Thursday, Jan. 18, 2007 from 6 – 8 p.m. at the Eeds Funeral Home Chapel in Lockhart, Texas. Funeral services for Mr. Stephen were held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 19, 2007 at the Delhi Baptist Church with Pastor Don Baggett officiating. Interment followed in the Delhi Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers were: Jay Creighton, Gary White, Adrian White, Joe Johnson, Lewis Young and Joe McWhorter.
