John Otis Dollar
John was born March 30, 1930 in Neoga, Ill., to John Otis and Zetta Dollar and passed into our Lord’s care July 26, 2013.
Survivors include his wife, Pamela, residing at Golden Age Home, Lockhart; four children: Floyd Otis Dollar (Robin), of Reedsport, Ore., Nancy Yukich (Gene), of Vancouver, Wash., Doris Dollar-Kuretich (Kevin), of Seguin, and Crystal Allbritton (David)
, of Salado. John was proud of his nine grandchildren; Jeremy, Brian, Alder, Andy, Rachael, Nicholas John, Joseph, Jacob and Alexandra and five great-grandchildren.
John served in the Navy during the Korean conflict. He spent his career in the aerospace industry as an electronic technician and business owner in the Southern California region. John has lived in Texas the past 13 years most recently in Gonzales and Lockhart. John always had a ready smile and a lending hand in helping others and will be missed not only by his family, but by the many people who have been touched by John’s handyman talents.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of John Otis Dollar will be held Sunday, Aug. 11, 2013 at 3 p.m. in the Chapel at Golden Age Home; 1505 S. Main Street, Lockhart, Texas. Pastor William Hill of St. John’s Lutheran Church will be officiating.
