Jordan Keith Steigerwald
Jordan Keith Steigerwald of Uvalde, formerly of La Pryor and Houston, was reported missing on Aug. 14, 2002. His family believes he died of insulin shock on the day of his disappearance.
His partial remains were found on Sept. 9, 2006, identified, and recently returned to his family.
He was born on Oct. 10, 1979, in Bell County to Paul and Shelley Steigerwald.<

Steigerwald was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Val Jean Kluppel; by his aunt Lynn Kluppel, wife of Shannon Kluppel, and by numerous relatives who testified of their faith in Jesus Christ.
He is survived by his parents; three brothers, Peter, Phillip and Thomas; and sister Susanna, all of Uvalde; paternal grandparents, Pete and Shirley Anne Steigerwald of Uvalde; maternal grandmother, Diana Sims of Arnold, Md.; maternal grandparents, Don and Mary Ellen Keith of Cloudcroft, N.M, formerly of Lockhart; aunts, Susan Keith Crawford, of Houston, Sharon Turner and husband, Melvin, of San Diego, Calif., and Jeanette Whitcomb and husband, Gary, of Austin; uncles, Steven Michael Keith and wife, Linda, of Houston, Stacy Keith and wife, Loreen, of Colorado Springs, Shannon Keith Kluppel of Baytown, and Stuart Keith and wife, Stacey, of Houston; numerous cousins; and many beloved friends.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 31 at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Uvalde with the Reverends Pete Steigerwald and Jim Jackson and Pastor Jerry Scott officiating. Interment will be Saturday, Aug. 9, 2008, at Reagan Wells Cemetery in the Dry Frio Canyon.
