Joseph Henry Goode

Joseph Henry Goode, 82, of Lockhart, passed away peacefully at his home Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2008. Mr.Goode was born in Houston on Sept. 27, 1925, to Joseph Henry, Sr., and Doris Andrews Goode.
He married Margaret Witter on April 4, 1970 in Austin. Joseph worked all his life in the oil business owning his own production company. He was of the Baptist faith.

is survived by his loving wife, Margaret of Lockhart; son, Joel Goode and wife, Lynn, of Georgetown; grandsons, Owen Goode and Andrew Goode; and nieces, Lisa Russek of Sugarland and Cheryl Floyd of San Antonio.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Julie Goode.
Funeral services for Joseph were held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 29, 2008, at the Eeds Funeral Home Chapel in Lockhart with Tommy Finfrock officiating. Interment followed at the Bunton Cemetery in Dale, Texas.
Serving as the pallbearers were: Bill Williams, James Witter, Terry Chambliss, Neal Chapman, Chris Chapman and John Williams. Serving as the honorary pallbearers were: Rosco Chambliss, Edwin C. Gibson, Chester Harris and Servancio Carranza.
