Bid Notice

The Lockhart Independent School District is seeking competitive sealed proposals for Uniform rental services.  Proposals will be accepted until 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 30, 2011.  The contract period is twelve months from the date of the bid award with the option to renew the contract for a maximum of two additional one-year periods.  The entire proposal package including specifications may be obtained by calling 512-398-0052 or sending in a written request to the Purchasing Department at P.O. The City of Lockhart Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Wednesday, June 22, 2011, at 7:00 P.M. in the lower level of City Hall, 308 West San Antonio Street, Lockhart, Texas, to receive public input regarding the following:

SUP-11-08.  A request by Jesus Lujan for a Specific Use Permit to allow conversion of an existing large storage building to a fellowship hall as an expansion of a Church as a Public/Institutional use in the CMB Commercial Medium Business District, on 2.43 acres in the Byrd Lockhart League, Abstract No. 17, located at 401 North Commerce Street.

SUP-11-09.  A request by Carlos Martinez, Jr. for a Specific Use Permit to allow a Manufactured Home on 0.33 acres in the Byrd Lockhart League, Abstract

No. 17, zoned RHD Residential Heavy Density District and located at 328 Pine Street.

SUP-11-10.  A request by Larry Houseton for a Specific Use Permit to allow a Bar in an existing building on 0.276 acre in the James George League, Abstract No. 9, zoned CHB Commercial Heavy Business District and located at 1311 South Commerce Street (FM 1322).

SUP-11-11.  A request by Thom Earnest on behalf of the Plum Creek Conservation District for a Specific Use Permit to allow an office building as a Public/Institutional use on 1.806 acres in the Resubdivision of Lot 4B, Block 1, of the Amending Plat for the Resubdivision Plat of Lockhart Industrial Park II Revision No. 2, zoned IL Industrial Light District and located at 221 East M.L.K. Jr. Industrial Blvd.

All interested persons owning property within 200 feet of either of these properties who wish to state their support or opposition may do so at this Public Hearing; or they may submit a written statement to the City Planner or his designee for presentation to the Planning and Zoning Commission at or before the time the Public Hearing begins.

Should any person be aggrieved by the Commission”s action, a request may be submitted in writing for an appeal to City Council.  Such request must be submitted to the Zoning Administrator (City Planner) within ten calendar days of the date of the Commission”s action.

On June 01, 2011, the Medicaid agreement between Century House and the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services relating to the ICF/MR facility”s participation in the Title XIX Medicaid Program is to be terminated, unless the facility achieves compliance with the Medicaid requirements prior to that date. The cause for Medicaid termination is that Century House does not meet minimum health or safety standard required for Medicaid program participation. The Medicaid program will not make payments for ICF/MR services furnished to residents of Century House, on or after June 01, 2011.
