Lady Lions celebrate lone senior and team parents

The Lockhart Lady Lions’ softball team organized a special event Friday night to commemorate the final game of the season.

The Lions celebrated Senior Night and Parents Night. The team honored its graduating senior, Aniah Johnson. The event served as a tribute to the dedication and hard work of the players, as well as a chance to recognize the important role played by their families in their athletic journey. 

Despite the Lions managing to score five runs in the bottom of the third inning, the Lady Lions were unable to secure a victory as they fell, 9-5, to Leander. 

Lady Lions’ pitcher Emma Betancourt struck out five and did not allow a walk. On the offensive side, Johnson concluded her final game with an impressive display at the plate with two hits.
