LaVerne Voigt

LaVerne Voigt, 93, of Houston, Texas, formerly of Lockhart, passed away on July 2, 2014. She was born on April 23, 1921 in Rockdale, Texas, to John and Lottie Yoakum Pruett.

She was a resident of Caldwell County for 50 years and was the secretary for the Caldwell County Extension Office for 24 years. She moved to Houston three years ago to be closer to her family. She was a

member of the Woodland Hills Church of Christ in Conroe, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Voigt who passed away in 1966. She is survived by her daughter, Judy Holt and husband, Randy, of Houston, Texas; one sister, Evelyn Romoser, of Houston; and two grandchildren, Lacey Holt and Kelsy Holt.

Family will receive friends at McCurdy Funeral Home from 1-2 p.m. with services following the visitation, on Saturday, July 5, 2014. Interment will follow at Pettytown Cemetery in Bastrop County.
