The City of Martindale is giving notice of the city’s intent to submit a Texas Community Development Block Grant Program multi-jurisdictional grant application with Guadalupe County for a Community Development Fund grant request of $350,000 for water system improvements for the Martindale WSC service area. NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The City of Lockhart Board of Adjustment will hold a Public Hearing on Monday,

March 2, 2015, at 6:30 P.M. in the lower level of City Hall, 308 West San Antonio Street, Lockhart, Texas, to receive public input regarding the following:

 

ZV-15-01. A request by Javier Llamas Robles for a Variance to Chapter 64 “Zoning”, of the Lockhart Code of Ordinances, Section 64-205(b)(16), to allow a Portable Food Court to connect directly to the City wastewater system on Lot 1, Block 1, Llamas Subdivision, consisting of 0.209 acre zoned CMB Commercial Medium Business District and located at 906 South Colorado Street

(US Hwy 183).

 

All interested persons owning property within 200 feet of this property who wish to state their support or opposition may do so at this Public Hearing, or they may submit a written statement to the City Planner for presentation to the Zoning Board of Adjustment at or before the time the public hearing begins.

 

Should any person be aggrieved by the Board’s decision, a written petition for appeal stating that the decision of the Board is illegal in whole or in part and specifying the grounds of the illegality, may be presented to a court of record within ten calendar days after the minutes of the meeting are approved by Board.

Proposed Additions and Amendments to the District’s Rules

 

The Gonzales County Underground Water Conservation District (the “District”) will hold a public hearing for the purpose of receiving comments on proposed amendments to the rules of the District.

 

The Board of Directors will take public comments on these proposed rules on March 25, 2015 at the Commissioner’s Courtroom in the Gonzales County Courthouse, Gonzales, Texas. The public hearing will begin at 5:30 p.m.

 

Agenda is as follows:

 

  1. Call to order.

 

  1. President of the Board to make comments.

 

  1. Receive comments from the public on proposed additions to the District’s rules.

 

  1. Adjourn.

 

Copies of the current rules of the District and the proposed amended rules are available at the offices of the Gonzales County Underground Water Conservation District, 920 St. Joseph, Room 129, Gonzales, TX from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

CERTIFICATES OF

OBLIGATION

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Lockhart, Texas, at its meeting to commence at 7:30 P.M. on March 17, 2015, at its regular meeting place in the Council Chambers at 217 South Main Street, Lockhart, Texas 78644, tentatively proposes to authorize the issuance of interest bearing certificates of obligation of said City in a total maximum principal amount not exceeding $17,000,000, for the public purpose of paying contractual obligations incurred or to be incurred for: (i) constructing, improving and/or renovating City parks and park buildings, (ii) constructing, improving, extending and/or expanding City streets, including drainage, sidewalks, and right-of-ways, (iii) constructing, improving, extending and/or expanding public City’s water and wastewater system, (iv) constructing, acquiring, renovating and equipping fire stations, including acquisition of a fire vehicle; (v) acquiring and installing public safety emergency weather early warning equipment; (vi) constructing, renovating, equipping and improving the City Hall and other municipal buildings; and (vii) the payment of professional services in connection therewith including legal, fiscal and engineering fees and the costs of issuing the certificates of obligation. The City presently proposes to provide for the payment of the certificates of obligation by the levy of ad valorem taxes, within the limit prescribed by law, and a limited pledge of not to exceed $1,000 of surplus revenues of the City’s water and wastewater system.

Lockhart ISD will accept proposals from Contractors until 2:00 P.M. March 12, 2015 at the District’s Administrative Offices located at 105 South Colorado, Lockhart, TX 78644. Please submit the proposals to Tanya Homann’s attention. Work includes several phase of asbestos abatement work.
