The City of Lockhart Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Wednesday, November 30, 2016, at 7:00 P.M. in the lower level of City Hall, 308 West San Antonio Street, Lockhart, Texas, to receive public input regarding the following:

 

SUP-16-16. A request by Conley Covert on behalf of Infrared Real Estate Group, LLC, for a Specific Use Permit to allow a Food Processing and Preparation Plant, Special Events Facility, and Mixed Use Building on Part of Lot 1, Block 23, Original Town of Lockhart, zoned CCB Commercial Central Business District and located at 101 East San Antonio Street (SH 142).

ZC-16-08. A request by Conley Covert for a Zoning Change from CMB Commercial Medium Business District to CHB Commercial Heavy Business District on Lots 1 and 6, Block 10, Original Town of Lockhart located at 319 South Church Street.

 

All interested persons owning property within 200 feet of this property wishing to state their support or opposition must do so at this Public Hearing; or they must submit a written statement to the City Planner or his designee for presentation to the Planning and Zoning Commission at or before the time the Public Hearing begins.

 

In the event that property owners should desire to protest the action of the Planning and Zoning Commission, they must: (1) file their written protest with the City Secretary on or before five days prior to the Public Hearing before the City Council; and, (2) the written protest must be signed and acknowledged by the owners of at least 20 percent of the land included in the proposed change, or by owners of at least 20 percent of the land area within a 200-foot radius of the boundary of the proposed change. The City of Martindale seeks to develop an application to the Texas Department of Agriculture for the 2017/2018 Community Development Fund for eligible activities associated to the Texas Community Development Block Grant Program. Accordingly, the City is separately soliciting (A) proposals from Administrative Consultants for Application Preparation and Project Administration and (B) qualifications from Texas-Registered Engineers to provide engineering services associated to Application Preparation and Project Implementation. Firms and/or individuals should have past experience with federally funded programs. Submittals for these services must be received by the city no later than 4 pm on November 28, 2016. The same firm will not be awarded contracts to provide both services.
