Tolls Announced for

SH 130 Segments 5 & 6

 

Beginning Sunday, November 11, 2012, toll collection will begin on the main lanes of Texas State Highway 130 Segments 5 and 6.  The project spans approximately 41 miles, beginning in Mustang Ridge, traveling through t

hree counties (Travis, Caldwell and Guadalupe) and connecting with Interstate 10 in Seguin.

 

Base toll rate for a light vehicle (such as a family car or pickup truck) will be 15 cents per mile or $6.17 to travel the entire length of the new roadway. The base toll rate for an 18-wheeler will be 60 cents per mile or $24.58 to travel the entire length of the new roadway. These base toll rates will be charged to vehicles using a TxTag device.

 

TxTag is an electronic toll collection sticker applied to the inside windshield of cars and trucks. Drivers can open a TxTag account at www.TxTag.org  or by calling the TxTag Customer Service Center (toll-free) 1-888-468-9824.

 

Drivers may also use a TollTag (issued by the North Texas Tollway Authority) or EZ TAG (issued by the Harris County Texas Toll Road Authority).  Drivers who do not utilize an electronic toll collection sticker can choose to Pay By Mail. Paying by mail adds a fee of no more than 33 percent to the base rate toll on SH 130 Segments 5 and 6.

 

The public can view a map of the nearly completed SH 130 Segments 5 & 6 toll road including entry and exit points and a complete toll schedule at www.mysh130.com. Customers may also contact the SH 130 Concession Company by calling (toll-free) 877-SH130TX or 877-741-3089.

NOTICE OF

REQUIREMENT TO

COMPLY WITH THE

SUBDIVISION SERVICE EXTENSION POLICY OF AQUA WATER SUPPLY CORPORATION

Pursuant to Texas Water Code, §13.2502, Aqua Water Supply Corporation hereby gives notice that any person who subdivides land by dividing any lot, tract, or parcel of land, within the service area of Aqua Water Supply Corporation, Certificate of Convenience and Necessity No. 10294, in Bastrop, Caldwell, Williamson, Lee, Fayette and Travis Counties, into two or more lots or sites for the purpose of sale or development, whether immediate or future, including re-subdivision of land for which a plat has been filed and recorded or requests more than two water service connections on a single contiguous tract of land must comply with the Rules and Regulations Concerning Aqua’s Service to Subdivisions (the “Subdivision Policy”) contained in Aqua Water Supply Corporation”s tariff.

 

Aqua Water Supply Corporation is not required to extend retail water utility service to a service applicant in a subdivision where the developer of the subdivision has failed to comply with the Subdivision Policy.

 

Applicable elements of the Subdivision Policy include:

Evaluation by Aqua Water Supply Corporation of the impact a proposed subdivision service extension will make on Aqua Water Supply Corporation”s water supply system and payment of the costs for this evaluation;

Payment of reasonable costs or fees by the developer for providing water supply capacity;

Payment of fees for reserving water supply capacity;

Forfeiture of reserved water supply capacity for failure to pay applicable fees;

Payment of costs of any improvements to Aqua Water Supply Corporation”s system that are necessary to provide the water service;

Construction according to design approved by Aqua Water Supply Corporation and dedication by the developer of water facilities within the subdivision following inspection.

 

Aqua Water Supply Corporation”s tariff and a map showing Aqua Water Supply Corporation”s service area may be reviewed at Aqua Water Supply Corporation”s offices, at 415 Old Bastrop Highway, Bastrop, Texas 78602 or on Aqua’s website at www.aquawsc.com.  The tariff and service area map are also filed of record at the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality and may be reviewed by contacting the TCEQ, c/o Utility Rates and Services Section, Water Supply Division, P.O. Box 13087, Austin, Texas 78711-3087.

CITY OF LOCKHART

PUBLIC BID FOR FUELS

The City of Lockhart is accepting annual supply bids for approximately 40,000 gallons of unleaded plus gasoline and 26,000 gallons of No. 2 dyed diesel fuel. A minimum of two-thousand five hundred (2,500) gallons would be ordered at any given time. The price of fuels may increase or decrease based on the weekly average Oil Price Information Service (OPIS) price published each Thursday from the Austin, Texas, Rack. The amount designated as the supplier’s profit margin per gallon must include delivery and must remain the same during the term of the contract. The contract term will be from one year from the date of approval by the City Council. Bid award may be separate for each fuel. Required forms for bid submittal are available from the Public Works Office at 705 Wichita Street during normal business hours.

 

Bids must be received by 2 pm, Monday, October 29th, 2012 at City Hall, 308 W. San Antonio Street, Lockhart, Texas 78644. Bids not received by this time and date will be rejected. Bid envelopes should be externally marked to indicate “Fuel Bids”.

 

The City of Lockhart reserves the right to reject any and all fuel bids.

The City of Martindale is giving notice of the City’s intent to submit a Community Development Fund application for a grant from the Texas Community Development Block Grant Program.  The grant application request is for $275,000 for first time sewer service along Skyline Drive.  The sewer interceptor line will be brought from an existing sewer line on County Road 103 across S.H. 80 to Skyline Drive.  Details of the application will be available for review at City Hall during regular business hours.
