Letters – Evening Lions thank community for support

To the Editor:
The Lockhart Evening Lions club conducted a School Supplies Drive in downtown Lockhart last Saturday morning, Sept. 6, led by Lion Candy Rayos.
We offer our heartfelt thanks to the people of Lockhart and to other motorists passing through, who gave us over $800 during the five-hour event. We particularly appreciate the generosity of the mystery lad

y who gave us an envelope that (we later discovered) contained $100. The Lions club will donate all proceeds to the LISD school supplies fund, enabling assistance to families that cannot afford school supplies for their children.
