Lockhart High School’s boys basketball wrapped up their final home game of the season with a thrilling 60-54 victory over the Lehman Lobos on Senior/Parent Night last week.
The Lions came out firing on all cylinders to build a 17-point halftime lead. Lehman fought back in the third quarter, finding its rhythm and chipping away at the deficit. However, LHS stayed poised, making key plays down the stretch to win in front of a packed home crowd.
Senior Dareon Loggins led the LHS charge with 20 points and three steals, while junior Jay Villalobos also poured in 20 points. DJ Anthony, another junior, contributed across the board with eight points, five steals, and three rebounds. Senior Jacob Salas made his presence felt inside, adding six points and six rebounds.
Head Coach Collin Hart praised his team’s performance on an emotional night.
“I was pleased with how we came out in the first half and glad we ended up getting a win, especially with it being our Senior/Parent Night,” Hart said. “The energy from the gym was contagious, and we hope to finish the season strong on the road against Glenn.”
LHS will finish its schedule on Friday at Leander Glenn.
