Monsen said he is very proud of the way the Lions played on offense and defense.
“We need to cut out the mistakes and start tackling a little better, but we are playing good football,” Monsen said. “The defense did a good job but they did leave a kid open in the end zone. That was just a mixup.”
Monsen said his Lions are excited about playing Bastrop Friday night at home.
“They are a good team, but we think we have a good chance against them,” Monsen said. “I hope all the fans will come out and support the Lions on Friday night. It is very important to have good fan support for the team. Everyone should come early and stay late for the game. I hope to see everyone there.”
