Lions score last-minute victory over Smithville Tigers

The Varsity Lions hosted the Smithville Tigers at Lion Stadium on Friday, Feb. 20. and defeated them 2-0 with a last-minute push against the Tiger goalkeeper’s solid defensive play.

alie, who single-handedly kept the Tigers in the game throughout the night.

The first Lion goal went in with less than five minutes on the clock and the second goal was kicked in by Mathew Carniero with 18 seconds to spare.

The Lions traveled to Giddings on Tuesday, Feb. 24 and will host Taylor at Lion Stadium on Friday, Feb. 27 at 7:45 p.m.
