Michael Wright

Lockhart ISD School Board Member at Large

My name is Michael Wright, and I am seeking Re-election to the position of School Board Member At-Large for the Lockhart Independent School District.

I was born and raised in Lockhart and graduated from Lockhart High School. I went on to Southwest Texas State University and earned a degree in Business Administration. I have been married to Janie Salazar Wright (also of Lockhart) for 43 years. Janie spent 38 years in public education and retired from the Lockhart ISD as its Deputy Superintendent. We have two adult children.

I have served on the Lockhart School Board for twelve years. My fellow board members have trusted me to serve as Board President for the past five years. These twelve years of service have given me invaluable experience, knowledge, and insight into the workings of the board and the district. There is no better way to learn about this position than having years of on-the-job experience.

I would appreciate your vote to return me to office to continue the splendid work that we are accomplishing in the Lockhart School District. Thank you for your support.
