Neely J. “Bud” Etheredge

Neely J. “Bud” Etheredge, 76, of Canyon Lake, passed away Monday, Aug. 25, 2008, at his residence.
Bud was born Aug. 15, 1932, in Seguin, Texas, to Neely and Alta (McCall) Etheredge, Sr.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Juanita Van Dyke, of B
ay City, Texas.
He is survived by his wife, Monna McLendon Etheredge, of Canyon Lake; brother, Arthur “Snuffy” Etheredge and wife, Linda, of Delhi; children: Clyde Martin and wife, Kelly, of Mason, Cheryl Nail and husband, Elba, of Mason, Tempe Soell and husband, Jeff, of Angleton, and Kelly Couey and Kirby Couey, of Florida; grandchildren: Josh Nail and wife, Vanessa, of Mason, Thad Martin, Thane Martin and Thatch Martin, all of Mason, and Jarrett Stroud and Kaitly Soell, of Angleton; great-grandchild Nathaniel Nail, of Mason; very special uncle and aunt, Clinton and Gertrude Coker, of Seguin; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Bud retired from the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department after 24 years of service as a game warden, a job he truly loved. His hobbies included fishing and telling stories.
Everyone should have someone to admire, learn from and love. For us, Bud, that”s you.
