Invitation to Bid

Braun and Butler Construction, (B&B), Construction Manager for Caldwell County, is requesting bids from qualified subcontractors to finish out 1703 S. Colorado Street, Lockhart, Texas 78644 for a new justice center. Bids will be received unit 2:00 p.m. November 14, 2013 via fax at (512) 837-5115 or e

The scope includes selective demolition, minor site preparation, site utilities, landscape, irrigation, site fencing, automatic gates, parking lot striping, concrete, masonry, reinforcing steel, steel, rough carpentry, finish carpentry, millwork, dampproofing, flashing, joint sealants, fire stopping, roofing, roof access, hollow metal doors, hollow metal frames, wood doors, interior and exterior storefront, hardware, metal stud framing, drywall, insulation, acoustic ceilings and panels, tape, float, texture and paint, carpet, vct, base, ceramic tile, terrazzo, toilet partitions, toilet accessories, fire extinguishers and cabinets, flag poles, vehicle barriers, signage, window treatments, security, cameras, access controls, detention equipment, fire protection, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, cabling, audio visual, roof skylight and project final cleaning.

Plans and specifications will be available through AGC, Dodge, Isqft, Builder’s Exchange, and the county website. A prebid open house will be held Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the site. All questions must be issued in writing via e-mail to Braun & Butler and will be answered through addenda. All bidders must have current contractors qualification on file with B&B. Prime and Paint Public Bid – Clark Library Phase II

The City of Lockhart is receiving sealed bids at 308 W. San Antonio Street Lockhart TX 78644, until 10am on Wednesday, November 13th from qualified individuals and/or companies for the all interior priming and painting at the Masonic Building Annex. Bids submitted must be good for 120 days. Sealed bid envelopes should be marked “Paint”. Proof of general liability and worker’s compensation coverage naming the City of Lockhart as an additional insured will be required before final award.

All bids must include all materials and labor required to finish the job per specs and plans available. In your bid, please include the time scope of completion and projected start date.

Paint will be required on:

• Interior Walls

• Hard Ceilings

• New and Old Cabinetry

• Interior Trim on walls and windows

• All Air Conditioning grills

• Interior Windows

• Exterior Windows

• New AND

Plan sets and specifications may be downloaded from the City of Lockhart website at www.lockhart-tx.org under Clark Library Phase II.

****There will be a mandatory walkthrough of the building on Friday, November 8th at 1pm at the construction site at 205 S. Main St. Lockhart, TX with the CMR to discuss any questions.

Bids submitted must be good for 120 days. Sealed bid envelopes should be marked “Cabinetry”. Proof of general liability and worker’s compensation coverage naming the City of Lockhart as an additional insured will be required before final award.

All bids must include all materials and labor required to finish the job per specs and plans available. In your bid, please include the time scope of completion and projected start date.

Material Specifications for the Cabinetry are as follows:

• Paint grade maple on body of cabinet

• Oak/cherry stain grade on deck

The City of Lockhart Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Wednesday, November 13, 2013, at 7:00 P.M. in the lower level of City Hall, 308 West San Antonio Street, Lockhart, Texas, to receive public input regarding the following:

SUP-13-02.  A request by Enertech Resources, LLC, on behalf of Chuan Kim Lai, for a Specific Use Permit to allow a Wireless Telecommunication Facility – High Impact on 5.191 acres in the James George League, Abstract 9, zoned CHB Commercial Heavy Business District and located at 1401 South Commerce Street (FM 1322).

SUP-13-03.  A request by Carla Torres, for a Specific Use Permit to allow a Manufactured Home on lots 4, 5, and 6 Block 1, Oakview Addition, zoned  RMD Residential Medium Density District and located at 802 First Street.

All interested persons owning property within 200 feet of this property who wish to state their support or opposition may do so at this Public Hearing; or they may submit a written statement to the City Planner or his designee for presentation to the Planning and Zoning Commission at or before the time the Public Hearing begins.

 

Should any person be aggrieved by the Commission’s action, a request may be submitted in writing for an appeal to City Council.  Such request must be submitted to the Zoning Administrator (City Planner) within ten calendar days of the date of the Commission’s action.
