Running of the Bulls donation

Lockhart’s third annual Running of the Bulls was a huge success thanks to all the participants, sponsors and volunteers. This year, the group presented a check for $8,000 to Take Me Home Advocates for Transport, a 501(c)(3) that helps move dogs out of animal shelters, saving their lives by transporting them to their forever homes in Texas and out of state. Last year, Take Me Home helped save 600 dogs through the “freedom rides” from the Lockhart Animal Shelter. Accepting the check from ROTB organizer Alex Worthington is Susan Strickland Patterson, chairman of Take Me Home and Andrea Theriot, board member. Pictured (from left) are Will Rhodes, Ronda Reagan, Worthington, Patterson, Theriot, and Lockhart Mayor Lew White.
