Scott Wallace, 64, of Lockhart, formerly of Waco, passed away Thursday, Jan. 20 in a Waco nursing home. Funeral services and burial will be in Iowa.
Mr. Wallace was born July 9, 1940 in Carroll, Iowa to C.R. “Daney” and Geneva Alberta Young Wallace. He moved to Waco in the early 70s and worked as a paralegal at a local law firm. Scott expressed his artistic creativity

in various ways, including several roles in the Civic Theater; his favorite role was Atticus in “To Kill a Mockingbird.” He also loved painting, sculpturing, and he helped illustrate a book.
Scott moved to Lockhart, Texas in the early 90s. He worked as a title examiner for Caldwell County Abstract Company, which later became First American Title Insurance Company until his illness.
Scott”s sense of humor will be missed by his family and friends. His parents preceded him in death.
Survivors include his sister, Bonnie Mayberry and her husband, Phil of Waco; nieces, Tami Hobbs of Plano and Kelli Cassidy of Austin; aunt, Millie Meckley of Prairie City, Iowa; and uncle, Harry Young of Prairie City, Iowa.
Part of Scott”s creativity was to write his own epithet: My quest was for wisdom or the knowledge to know it was a fool”s quest.
