Soledad Salinas
Mrs. Soledad Salinas, 80, of Lockhart, passed away peacefully at her home on July 19, 2008. She was born on March 12, 1928, to Carlos and Regina Ybarra Hernandez in Caldwell County, Texas. Soledad was known by everyone as “Chole.”
She leaves to all of her family and friends great memories.
Soledad was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Domingo Sa
linas Sr.; a son, Domingo Salinas Jr.; and a daughter, Rosita Romo.
Soledad is survived by her children: Henry Salinas, of Lockhart, Johnny Salinas, of Manchaca, Jimmy Salinas, of Mt. Pleasant, Pedro Salinas, of Lockhart, Mary Yolanda Trejo, of Dallas and Norma Castillo, of Lockhart; her half-sister, Ruth Gonzales, of Lockhart; 20 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren, and 17 great-great-grandchildren.
The Recitation of the Rosary was held at 7 p.m. on July 21, 2008 at the Eeds Funeral Home Chapel with David Pustka officiating. A Mass of Celebration was held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 22 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Father Robert Becker officiating. Burial followed at the Navarro Cemetery in Lockhart.
Serving as the pallbearers were Christopher Llamas, Gabriel Ray Romo, Julian Castillo IV, Danny Salinas, Marcos Pedro Salinas, and Dominic Salinas. Honorary pallbearers were Carlos Salinas and Richard Salinas.
