Students urge for new equipment

     LISD is proud of their 3rd grade students from across the school district who recently completed their study and assignment about persuasive writing. A common theme emerged and a few brave students had the opportunity to orally present their letter to Superintendent Mark Estrada recently at Bluebonnet Elementary School. Estrada was impressed with everyone’s ability to passionately and professionally make their points clear. Students made a strong case for the need to address playground safety concerns and playground inadequacy with Borchert Loop Elementary. LISD administration will work on a plan to update all elementary playground equipment and will be communicating the plan directly with students and the community in the coming weeks.
