Tesla visits Gary Job Corps

The visit from Tesla representatives was to view the possibilities of partnering with the Gary Job Corps Center in training students today for the tomorrow jobs at Tesla. Also attending the meeting were representatives from Texas Workforce Commission, MP&F, U.S. Department of Labor Employment and Training Administration. Rachel Torres, National Director of Job Corps, and Thony Martino, Regional Director of Job Corps, sharing with the Tesla Representatives the great opportunities for all parties involved. Edward Serna, Texas Workforce Executive Director also said about the great opportunities were a possibility. Visitors toured the CNC/Machine Shop and Material Handling Trades, spoke to students and instructors concerning their training and what their future ambitions upon graduation from the Job Corps program.
