What subjects do you teach: “I teach all subjects: Reading, Writing, Math, Social Studies and Science.”

Hometown: “I was born and raised in Palestine, Texas.”

Where did you graduate? “I attended Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio and obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management. I also attended Texas State University where I obtained a Master’s degree in Bilingual/Bicultural Education.”

Favorite thing(s) about teaching at Lockhart ISD: “My favorite thing about teaching at Lockhart ISD is the relationships I have built with my students, their families, and coworkers.”

How would your friends describe you? “Calm, helpful, loyal, and a hard worker.”

Values most important to you: “My faith, my family, and my integrity.”

Talents: “Adapting to new situations quickly.”

Favorite Books: “Heaven is for Real, To Kill a Mockingbird, and Because of Winn Dixie.”

Favorite Music: “I love all types of music.”

Hobbies: “I love spending time with my family. I also enjoy traveling with my daughter, sister, and nephew.”

What Inspires You? “My parents are my greatest source of inspiration. Without all their sacrifices, I would not be where I am today.”

Family: “I have one daughter, Abby.”
