Thomas Peiser, Sr.
CMSgt. Thomas Doak Peiser, Sr., passed away on Oct. 19, 2014, at the age of 80. He was born on Aug. 10, 1934, in Lockhart, Texas, to George and Edna (Schneider) Peiser. He is preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Donald Lawrence Peiser.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Ruby N. Peiser; son, Tom Peiser, Jr. (Ann McCreless); daughter, Sabrina Ann Peiser C
lay, (James Rusk); grandchildren, Tom Peiser III, Crystal Peiser Ferguson (Mark), and Cody Garrett Peiser; great-grandchildren, Eric Lindly Chaney and Taylor Lynn Chaney; brother, Royce Henry Peiser; and nieces, Donna Lynn Peiser Trusty (Lee) and Sandra Peiser Courrier (Terry).
Thomas graduated Lockhart High School in 1953, and entered the Air Force in 1955. While in the military he trained as a Supply Support Manager, Supply Management Advisor, and Supply Management and Procedures Superintendent. He served at several duty stations including Korea, Vietnam, Iran, Turkey, and Laughlin AFB, finally retiring at Randolph AFB. While serving he earned a numerous awards including the Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal and the Air Force Commendation Medal. Thomas was a Mason and a member of the American Legion.
A visitation was held on Sunday, Oct. 26, 2014 from 5 – 8 p.m. The funeral service was held on Monday, Oct. 27, 2014 at noon at Colonial Funeral Home in Universal City. Interment followed at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with Full Military Honors.
